Ahvenlampi, at the heart of Luosto village

Ahvenlampi is a small lake, very near to the hotel Lapland Hotels Luostotunturi. Just walk 5 minutes from the hotel and you are there, at a perfect spot for an aurora enthusiast who is not in position to climb up to the Ukko-Luosto Scenic Hut. In early winter time be aware of the thin ice. You can walk around the lake on a path at its shore and select your viewing direction. Naturally in January-March it is best to walk on ice, lay down on you back on the snow, and watch upwards enjoying Nature’s most beautiful color show.
